Patti Kenner photo blurbOn May 25, Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. celebrated its 80th anniversary in New York City with a gala event at the Chelsea Piers. Foundation Board Chairman Stuart E. Eizenstat presented Board Member Patti Askwith Kenner with the prestigious Fran Eizenstat Legacy Award at the gala. Patti was honored for her years of work on behalf of Holocaust survivors and her personal dedication to improving their lives. Murry Sidlin and Louisa Hollman attended the dinner along with over 500 other guests including Patti’s family and numerous friends. The gala raised over $1 million to support Selfhelp’s front-line programs for survivors. The Defiant Requiem Foundation applauds Stuart Kaplan, the CEO of Selfhelp, and Lois Deutsch, Vice President of Development, for their tireless work on behalf of survivors.
