The program will explore the survivors’ memories of the first Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur after liberation. Among other topics, the discussion will explore if and how they observed the High Holidays, and what it felt like to be Jewish in the fall of 1945. The program will also include music from Max Bruch’s Kol Nidrei performed by cellist Julian Schwarz and pianist Marika Bournaki.
